Akaroa Area School Website
Welcome to Akaroa Area School
Nau mai haere mai.

We aim to provide a quality learning environment which encourages all students to achieve self-esteem, a sense of achievement, an awareness of their full potential for success and a desire for life long learning.

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE: TUMUAKI – RAY BYGATE
Tena koutou katoa. Naumai haere mai ki te kura takiwa o Akaroa.
Greetings to one and all. Welcome to Akaroa Area School.
Akaroa Area School is a small school with strong community links and a family atmosphere. Students from Year 1 to Year 13 mix naturally and harmoniously with each other in an environment where we embrace whanaungatanga (familiness) as the foundation for akoranga (learning) where our tuakana (seniors or older siblings) mentor, support and care for our teina (juniors or younger siblings).
